Astrology Forecast for

July 1 through July 15, 2012

Hot, dry, fiery, assertive, motivating, aggressive, active, forceful, energetic, initiative, brutal, selfish, angry, fast and rude are all words associated with the planet Mars.

This two-week period is anything but part of a lazy summer as Mars makes many astrological aspects, creating excitement, energy and unpleasantness.  Mars does give us energy and passion to accomplish tasks, but we need to be sure and channel the energy wisely. 

From July 4 through July 29, 2012, Mars opposes (is about 180 degrees from) unpredictable Uranus in the sky.  These two planets in a hard aspect make people and countries angry, argumentative, erratic, tense, rude, selfish, accident prone and intolerant.  Self-control is needed.  As Mars is hot, dry, and fiery, hot temperatures, drought and forest fires are in the news.  As Uranus rules weather, change and rebellion, we hear about extreme weather, weird news, revolutions and upheavals.    

From July 4 through August 1, 2012, Mars trines (is about 120 degrees from) Jupiter, creating a grand opportunity to get objectives accomplished through having lots of energy and enthusiasm. 

From July 8 through July 15, 2012, Mars trines (is about 120 degrees from) Venus, which is a wonderful aspect for social life, love, romance and hot sex.  Spend time with people you care about.   

From July 8 through July 26, 2012, Mars squares (is about 90 degrees from) Pluto, one of my least favorite aspects.  All aspects can be used for  positive results, but some aspects are harder to use positively than others are.  Mars square Pluto is difficult, stressful and can be violent.  Guard against criminal behavior and avoid arguments.  Since this aspect carries considerable energy, we can have success, but only after much effort.  During the time that Mars squares Pluto, it is also opposing Uranus, creating a Cardinal T-square.  Cardinal T-squares pack a wallop, and this one especially affects careers, structures, governments, relationships and our need for individuality and freedom.    

       

        Love, social life, money and possessions are all words associated with the planet Venus. 

From May 15 until June 27, 2012, Venus is retrograde.  Sometimes planets appear to go backward through the signs of the zodiac as seen from the earth, based upon our relative positions.  This is called being retrograde.  Venus will not be at the same degree of the sign it was in when it started going retrograde until July 31, 2012.  As Venus corresponds to relationships, money and possessions, this whole time period until July 31, 2012, is an excellent time to rethink and redo our relationships with people and start a new way of handling our money and possessions.  We get a second chance to handle love, money and possessions new and better ways.

        From June 16 until July 19, 2012, Venus is conjunct--very close to-- Jupiter in the sky.  This can be a wonderful, romantic time, making us happy and feeling good about ourselves. 

        From June 16 through July 7, 2012, Venus and Jupiter are squaring (are about 90 degrees from) Neptune.  A square is challenging and a square to Neptune is especially hard to deal with.  Neptune can bring deception, illusion, confusion and negative escapism, in this case, especially with love and money.   

Major transformations February 27, 2012 through June 13, 2015.

Uranus and Pluto are so far from the Sun that they take a long time to go around the Sun and through the signs of the zodiac.  When they form angles with other outer planets, those aspects are in effect for a long time.  Uranus and Pluto form a square aspect (are about 90 degrees from each other) for more than three years, forming an underlying background for the other planetary aspects. 

We will not notice their effect every day of this period, but we will notice major changes that can be attributable to these planets.  Uranus brings the unpredictable, the unusual and the eccentric.  It is a very freedom-loving planet and it can be rebellious and strong-willed.  Pluto is explosive, powerful and eliminates what is no longer needed.   Uranus is in Aries, a strong and independent sign, and Pluto is in Capricorn, which rules structures, laws and governments.  During this three-year period, we will see upheavals, struggles, revolutions, rebellions, unusual weather patterns and abrupt earth changes—volcanoes and earthquakes.

        Stress with career and family June 21 through July 6, 2012.

        The Sun opposite Pluto brings pressure and stress.  The Sun is in Cancer, the sign of home and family.  Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn, the sign of career.  This may not be an easy time in one or both of these areas of life and you could feel pulled in two directions at once trying to do right by career and also by family.  Be easy on yourself and do what you can to simplify your life. 

        Mercury Retrograde alert. 

Mercury entered its shadow period June 27 and goes Retrograde July 14, 2012.

        Great for communication, studying and travel June 28 through August 3, 2012.

        Mercury trine (about 120 degrees from) Uranus during this time is great for original, interesting and exciting communication (verbal and written), study and travel.  It is especially good for learning about new subjects or going places you have never been to before. 

        Confusion about what to do June 3 through July 17, 2012.

        With Jupiter and Neptune squaring each other, it can be hard to figure out the right thing to do.  It is not a good time to make any major decisions as we may not have all the facts or may be deceived by others. 

Both of these planets correspond to beliefs, especially religious.  Under easy aspects, people can draw closer to God.  Under hard aspects, such as these planets are under now, people can feel confused or be attracted to cults.  Expect to hear about people being involved with religion that is not good for them or for others—religious extremism. 

        Good news for education, communication and travel.

        Jupiter is in Gemini where it will remain for about a year.  Jupiter is the planet of good fortune.  Gemini is the sign of education, communication, travel, neighbors and siblings.  Jupiter brings the opportunities, but we must do our part.
