August 1 through 15, 2012

The following is like a weather forecast.  As I often say, just because the forecast calls for rain, doesn’t mean you have to get wet.  And just because the forecast says it is a perfect day for a picnic, doesn’t mean that you are going to take advantage of the perfect weather.  It does make sense to take an umbrella if it might rain, and to schedule a picnic for when the forecast says it should be a good day for it.

With Mars, the planet of energy and drive, and Saturn, the planet of delay, close to each other in the sky during these days, it can be frustrating.  You want to accomplish things but it feels that something is holding you back and preventing you from getting things done.  If you persist and work hard daily, you can slowly reach your goals.  This planetary aspect can help you be disciplined and focused.  This is a time to focus on one task at a time and not try to multi-task or take on more work if you can avoid it. 

Wonderful for social life and creativity August 2 through August 15, 2012. 

Venus loves being with people, being in love and being surrounded by beauty.  Neptune gives unconditional love and artistic inspiration.  These two planets in trine aspect (about 120 degrees from each other) as they are during this time, can be great for being with people you care about.  Some people will be in the midst of great romantic love, but need to try to keep their feet on the ground.  See the paragraph below about Venus opposite Pluto.    

Use this time to be artistic and creative.  You will love the results. 

Drama, intensity and power struggles likely in close relationships August 8 through August 22, 2012.

Venus opposite Pluto brings intense energy into relationships.  It can also bring up unresolved issues from the past into the present to be healed.  Some relationships could end under the stress.  Do what you can to not add fuel to the fire.  Direct your energies into demanding pursuits.

Both Venus and Pluto have to do with money and possessions.  Many feel stress connected with money issues, especially money issues that have not been dealt with for a long time.  This is not a good time to add to your credit card debt if you can help it.   

Energy, initiative and enthusiasm are all words associated with the planet Mars.

From July 4 through August 1, 2012, Mars trines (is about 120 degrees from) Jupiter, creating a grand opportunity to get objectives accomplished through having lots of energy and enthusiasm. 

        Love, social life, money and possessions are all words associated with the planet Venus. 

        From July 21 through August 7, 2012, Venus trines (is about 120 degrees from) Saturn.  This is a great time for business and other partnerships, organizing social occasions and managing money in a structured way. 

       

        Major transformations February 27, 2012 through June 13, 2015.

Uranus and Pluto are so far from the Sun that they take a long time to go around the Sun and through the signs of the zodiac.  When they form angles with other outer planets, those aspects are in effect for a long time.  Uranus squares Pluto (is about 90 degrees from) for more than three years, forming an underlying background for the other planetary aspects. 

We will not notice their effect every day of this period, but we will notice major changes that can be attributable to these planets.  Uranus brings the unpredictable, the unusual and the eccentric.  It is a very freedom-loving planet and it can be rebellious and strong-willed.  Pluto is explosive, powerful and eliminates what is no longer needed.   Uranus is in Aries, a strong and independent sign, and Pluto is in Capricorn, which rules structures, laws and governments.  During this three-year period, we will see upheavals, struggles, revolutions, rebellions, unusual weather patterns and abrupt earth changes—volcanoes and earthquakes.

        Mercury trine (about 120 degrees from) Uranus during this time is great for original, interesting and exciting communication (verbal and written), study and travel.  It is especially good for learning about new subjects or going places you have never been to before. 

        Good news for education, communication and travel.

        Jupiter is in Gemini where it will remain for about a year.  Jupiter is the planet of good fortune.  Gemini is the sign of education, communication, travel, neighbors and siblings.  Jupiter brings the opportunities, but we must do our part.
