        Major transformations February 27, 2012 through June 13, 2015.

Uranus and Pluto are so far from the Sun that they take a long time to go around the Sun and through the signs of the zodiac.  When they form angles with other outer planets, those aspects are in effect for a long time.  Uranus squares Pluto (is about 90 degrees from) for more than three years, forming an underlying background for the other planetary aspects.

        Mars trining (is about 120 degrees from) Neptune indicates this is a wonderful time for starting or enjoying anything artistic, musical or creative, either participating yourself or watching others. 

 

        Listen to your intuition August 16 through November 28, 2012.

        Saturn trining (is about 120 degrees from) Neptune makes this a great time for having your intuition and psychic abilities be useful for you.  Pay attention to what your instincts are telling you. 

 

        Great time to eliminate what is not for your highest good and be passionate about changing your life August 23 through September 5, 2012.

        The Sun trining (is about 120 degrees from) Pluto during this time, making it terrific to get rid of what no longer serves you and throw yourself into creating the life you want.  You have lots of energy and persistence to reach your goals. 

 

        Guard against negative thinking August 28 through September 8, 2012.

        With pessimistic Saturn squaring (is about 90 degrees from) Venus during this time, we need to watch what we are thinking and telling ourselves and others.  Don’t give in to seeing situations in a more negative light than necessary or having poverty consciousness. 

       

        Watch out for deception August 29 through September 4, 2012. 

        Neptune opposing Mercury means that we need to be careful we are not deceived by others or by ourselves, that we are understood and understand others and that we are careful while traveling.

 

        Guard against being overly optimistic and foolhardy August 31 through September 13, 2012.

        The planet of love and relationships is in a great trine (is about 120 degrees from) the planet of excitement and change, Uranus.  It’s a great time to be with loved ones and friends and spice up your life by doing what you never thought you would do before. 

 

        Cultivate patience from September 14 through October 12, 2012.

Venus squaring (is about 90 degrees from) Mars can mean we are impatient with others, with ourselves and with our lives in general.  Hey, this time period can help us memorize the Serenity Prayer.

Frustration, love, drama and more

August 1 through 15, 2012

The following is like a weather forecast.  As I often say, just because the forecast calls for rain, doesn’t mean you have to get wet.  And just because the forecast says it is a perfect day for a picnic, doesn’t mean that you are going to take advantage of the perfect weather.  It does make sense to take an umbrella if it might rain, and to schedule a picnic for when the forecast says it should be a good day for it.

With Mars, the planet of energy and drive, and Saturn, the planet of delay, close to each other in the sky during these days, it can be frustrating.  You want to accomplish things but it feels that something is holding you back and preventing you from getting things done.  If you persist and work hard daily, you can slowly reach your goals.  This planetary aspect can help you be disciplined and focused.  This is a time to focus on one task at a time and not try to multi-task or take on more work if you can avoid it. 

Wonderful for social life and creativity August 2 through August 15, 2012.

Energetic Mars and loving Venus are active, helping us reach our objectives and have loving relationships if we pay attention to which way the often contradictory planetary winds are blowing. 

Energy, initiative and enthusiasm are all words associated with the planet Mars.

From July 4 through July 29, 2012, Mars opposes (is about 180 degrees from) unpredictable Uranus in the sky.  These two planets in a hard aspect make people and countries angry, argumentative, erratic, tense, rude, selfish, accident prone and intolerant.  Self-control is needed.  As Mars is hot, dry, and fiery, hot temperatures, drought and forest fires are in the news.  As Uranus rules weather, change and rebellion, we hear about extreme weather, weird news, revolutions and upheavals.    

From July 4 through August 1, 2012, Mars trines (is about 120 degrees from) Jupiter, creating a grand opportunity to get objectives accomplished through having lots of energy and enthusiasm. 

From July 8 through July 26, 2012, Mars squares (is about 90 degrees from) Pluto, one of my least favorite aspects.  All aspects can be used for positive results, but some aspects are harder to use positively than others are.  Mars square Pluto is difficult, stressful and can be violent.  Guard against criminal behavior and avoid arguments.  Since this aspect carries considerable energy, we can have successes, but only after much effort.  During the time that Mars squares Pluto, it is also opposing Uranus, creating a Cardinal T-square.  Cardinal T-squares pack a wallop, and this one especially affects careers, structures, governments, relationships and our need for individuality and freedom.    

       

        Love, social life, money and possessions are all words associated with the planet Venus. 

From May 15 until June 27, 2012, Venus was retrograde.  Sometimes planets appear to go backward through the signs of the zodiac as seen from the earth, based upon our relative positions.  This is called being retrograde.  Venus will not be at the same degree of the sign it was in when it started going retrograde until July 31, 2012.  As Venus corresponds to relationships, money and possessions, this whole time period until July 31, 2012, is an excellent time to rethink and redo our relationships with people and start a new way of handling our money and possessions.  We get a second chance to handle love, money and possessions in new and better ways.

        From June 16 until July 19, 2012, Venus is conjunct--very close to-- Jupiter in the sky.  This can be a wonderful, romantic and loving time, making us happy and feeling good about ourselves.  Early risers can see the two planets close in the eastern sky before the Sun rises.

        Venus, the planet of love, money and possessions, is busy this month, moving in and out of important angular positions with other planets.  Some of the angular positions are easy to deal with and positive and some may be challenging.   

        From June 1 through June 4, 2012, Venus and Mercury (the planet of communication) are very close to each other in the sky.  This gives us the ability to be warm and charming in communication and to say the right thing because we take the time to pick our words carefully.

        From June 1 through June 9, 2012, Venus squares (is about 90 degrees from) Mars, making us hypersensitive and straining our close relationships.  We may expect too much and be disappointed.    

        Venus, trines (is about 120 degrees from) Saturn, bringing opportunities for benefits through older people and bosses.  It’s a great time for business and investments because you are willing to do the hard work necessary to have good results.  Relationships turn serious and can be very good for people who are responsible for themselves as well as for others.

While Mercury is in a stressful aspect (a 90-degree square) to Mars, take care while speaking, writing and traveling.  Mars is quick, forceful, argumentative, foolhardy and accident-prone.  It is also quick to take offense and be irritable.  Don’t say or write anything while angry.  Calm yourself down first.  I would not cancel any trips under this period, but would be sure I drive under the speed limit and take extra care. 

Good news for the economy and for you.

Challenges, confusion and opportunities

April 1 to 15, 2012 Astrology Forecast

Grand Cross April 1 to May 19, 2012 brings emotionalism and challenges. 

Neptune, Mars and the Moon’s Nodes form a Grand Cross in the sky, indicating excess emotionalism, confusion and challenges.  I prefer the word challenges to other words I might use, as challenges can be overcome and can encourage drive and achievement.

Neptune in Pisces has a hard time focusing on worldly matters.  It can be imaginative, spiritual, caring and wanting to provide service to other people and animals, but it can also be easily deceived. 

Mars in Virgo wants to get work done, but it tends to worry and be overly critical.  And then when Mars opposes (is about 180 degrees from) Neptune, it can have unrealistic expectations, further exacerbating those qualities of worrying and being hypercritical.  During this time we need to pay attention to our surroundings and work on seeing situations and people they way they really are, not how we hope them to be.  We should be on guard against accidents, negative thinking, worry, poisoning, and escapism, possibly through drugs and alcohol.  Artistic and creative pursuits and service are good ways to channel this energy.

        To further add to the potency of this energy between Mars and Neptune, the Moon’s Nodes get into the action and are squaring (about 90 degrees from) the opposition of Mars and Neptune.  Moon’s Nodes are where the Moon’s path crosses the Earth’s path around the Sun.  There are two Nodes, where the Moon’s path goes North of the Earth’s path, and then when it goes South of the Earth’s path.  Vedic astrologers attach enormous power to them and think they are active whenever events happen that are noticed all over the world. 

Grand Cross brings confusion and challenges to work, love and money matters from April 1 to April 14, 2012. 

And then, to top it all off, Venus is very close to the Moon’s South Node, and is squaring Neptune and Mars, until April 14, 2012.  Venus, the planet of money, social life and love is not thinking clearly and may be overly needy.  This is not an especially good time to buy expensive items unless they are necessary, and then do your homework to make sure you are getting what you think you are.  It can also be a confusing time for relationships.  This is not a good time to make any decisions about relationships as you may not have all the information you need and may not be thinking clearly.
